About Treatment
Treatment costs vary depending on the type of treatment and the complexity of your case. Dr. Yul will provide a full written quote during your consultation. For patients under 18, the consultation is free. We also offer a 5% price beat guarantee on any written quote.
No referral is needed for any age. Simply contact us directly and we'll arrange your consultation — no GP or dentist referral required.
Treatment duration depends on the complexity of your case and the treatment chosen. Most cases take between 12 and 24 months. Dr. Yul will give you a realistic estimate during your consultation.
Some patients experience mild soreness for a day or two after adjustments — this is completely normal and resolves quickly. Over-the-counter pain relief and soft foods are usually all that's needed. Most patients find treatment very manageable.
After your braces or aligners are removed, you'll be fitted with retainers. Wearing your retainers as directed is essential — they hold your teeth in their new position and protect your investment for life.
About Our Practice
Yes. Dr. Yul is a fully qualified specialist orthodontist — meaning he completed a dental degree and then an additional three years of full-time specialist orthodontic training at university. He is a registered member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists.
We have two Canberra clinics: Dickson (3/20 Challis St, Dickson ACT 2602) and Tuggeranong (Suite 8 Lakeview House, 232–246 Cowlishaw St, Greenway ACT 2900). Both clinics are easily accessible with parking available.
Absolutely. We recommend children aged 7–10 have an orthodontic assessment — even if no immediate treatment is required. Early assessment is the best way to identify developing issues and prevent more complex problems later. Consultations are free for patients under 18.
Yes. We accept all major private health funds and process claims on the spot using HICAPS. We also assist with any applicable Medicare dental benefits for eligible children.
Our Dickson clinic is open Monday 8:15am–5:30pm and Tuesday 1:15pm–5:30pm. Our Greenway (Tuggeranong) clinic is open Wednesday and Thursday 8:15am–5:30pm. Both clinics are closed Friday, weekends and public holidays. Book online anytime or call 02 6293 1575.
